Heat for Hope Giveaway – Official Terms & Conditions 

Each month, Mr. Plumber will select one individual or family in need to receive a standard water heater and professional installation at no cost. Recipient selection is determined solely by Mr. Plumber based on submitted nominations, eligibility requirements, and project feasibility. 

1. No Purchase Necessary 

This giveaway is not contingent upon any purchase, payment, or service agreement. Making a purchase will not increase the likelihood of selection. 

2. Eligibility Requirements 

To be eligible, nominees and/or recipients must: 

  • Be legal residents of the state of Georgia and located within Mr. Plumber’s active service area 
  • Be at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of nomination and selection 
  • Be the legal homeowner of the property where installation will occur 
  • Occupy the residence as their primary residence (rental properties, vacant homes, and investment properties are not eligible) 

Mr. Plumber reserves the right to verify eligibility requirements prior to final selection. 

3. Selection Criteria 

Recipients are selected at the sole discretion of Mr. Plumber based on: 

  • Demonstrated need 
  • Community impact 
  • Story submitted through nomination 
  • Feasibility and safety of the project 

Selection is conducted in a manner intended to avoid discrimination and will not be based on any protected class under applicable law. 

4. Scope of Prize / Installation Limitations 

The giveaway includes: 

  • One (1) standard residential water heater (50 gallon) 
  • Replacement of the expansion tank, ball valve, and gas flex. 
  • Standard professional installation 
  • Mr. Plumber’s standard warranty: 6 year tank and parts, 1 year labor 
  • Removal and disposal of the old, existing water heater 

The following are not guaranteed and may be excluded or require additional cost: 

  • Code upgrades or compliance modifications 
  • Permits or inspection fees 
  • Electrical, gas line, or plumbing system upgrades beyond standard installation 
  • Structural modifications, carpentry, or drywall work 
  • Venting modifications or upgrades 
  • Remediation (including but not limited to mold, asbestos, water damage, or hazardous materials) 
  • Accessibility modifications where installation conditions are unusually difficult 

Eligibility is dependent upon the existing system and home meeting minimum installation requirements. 

5. Inspection & Right to Decline 

All selected nominations may be subject to an on-site inspection by Mr. Plumber. 

Mr. Plumber reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to decline or cancel a project if: 

  • Installation conditions are deemed unsafe 
  • The property is not up to applicable code standards 
  • Hazardous materials or environmental concerns are present 
  • The installation location is inaccessible or impractical 
  • Required work exceeds the scope of standard installation 

6. Equipment Specifications 

  • Water heater type (tank), fuel type (gas or electric), brand, model, and specifications will be determined solely by Mr. Plumber 
  • Equipment provided through this program may come from Mr. Plumber’s available inventory, including new units that may have minor cosmetic imperfections (such as surface blemishes or packaging wear). These cosmetic conditions do not affect the safety, performance, or functionality of the equipment 
  • Substitutions may be made at Mr. Plumber’s discretion based on availability or installation requirements 
  • Maximum total project value may be determined and capped by Mr. Plumber 

7. Publicity & Media Participation (Optional) 

Recipients are encouraged to share their story to help support and promote the Heat for Hope program and its impact within the community. Opportunities may include interviews, photos, video, or other campaign-related content. 

Participation in publicity or media opportunities is voluntary; however, if a recipient agrees to participate, they must: 

  • Provide permission for Mr. Plumber and its media partners to use their name, likeness, story, photographs, and/or video for promotional, marketing, and public relations purposes 
  • Participate in reasonable media opportunities as mutually agreed upon 

If a recipient chooses not to participate in publicity, Mr. Plumber reserves the right to share general, non-identifying information about the project or program impact (for example, anonymized descriptions of the installation or community need), provided that no personally identifiable information is disclosed. 

No recipient name, image, or identifiable personal information will be used without prior written consent. 

8. Non-Transferable / No Cash Value 

The giveaway has no cash value 

The prize is non-transferable and may not be substituted, assigned, or redeemed for cash or credit 

9. Tax Responsibility 

Any applicable federal, state, or local taxes associated with the prize are the sole responsibility of the recipient. Mr. Plumber makes no guarantees regarding tax treatment of the giveaway. 

10. Liability Release 

By participating in this giveaway, nominees and recipients agree to: 

  • Release and hold harmless Mr. Plumber, its employees, partners, media affiliates, and agents from any and all claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of participation in the giveaway or installation of the water heater 
  • Acknowledge that installation services are provided “as-is” within the stated scope 

11. Program Modifications 

Mr. Plumber reserves the right to: 

  • Modify, suspend, or terminate the giveaway at any time 
  • Adjust eligibility requirements, selection criteria, or program structure as needed 
  • Substitute components of the prize with equal or greater value where necessary 

12. Void Where Prohibited 

This promotion is void where prohibited by law.
